David Hunter at Fakenham Racecourse. Days out in norfolk

Letter From David Hunter

We have had a terrific 2017 and as the year draws to the close, I am delighted to let you know that Fakenham Racecourse will be hosting thirteen National Hunt race days for 2018. You can find a full fixture list on the Racing Schedule page.

I am also pleased to confirm that we have finished the installation of a £50K investment project to install superfast broadband and site-wide WIFI, which means that you no longer need to rely on 4G signal when visiting the racecourse. Completing this project also means that you will be able to pay for food and drink in all the bars and, from late January 2018, on the day entry tickets by credit card.

The introduction of a new ticketing provider means that from late January 2018 we will be switching to an advance sales e-ticketing system for race days. You will be able to buy online your race day entry badges until midnight the day before races and print your e-ticket at home or save it to your mobile phone, and present it on arrival where it will be scanned and an entry badge given to you in return.

Badges bought in advance and online will be charged at the current rate of £10 for Course Enclosure, £15 for Grandstand & Paddock and £20 for Day Members badges. However, for badges bought on the day there will be a small increase to £18 for Grandstand & Paddock and £23 for Day Members. Course Enclosure ticket price will remain £10.  Car parks remain free and the Members’ car park price stays at £8 per car.

Also, at a select number of race meetings, there will an ‘early bird offer’ giving a further discount on badges if purchased online and in advance before a set date. We are proud to continue to offer FREE entry for all children, aged 17 and under at all meetings.

Once again thank you for your continuing support of racing at Fakenham and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the racecourse team.

Yours sincerely,
